CONSUMER TIPS- EVENT PLANNERS / CONSULTANTS

Five Important Things You Should Know
Before Dealing With An Event Planner

  1. The purpose of the event
  2. When it will occur
  3. Who the guests are
  4. How many guests there will be
  5. Your budget

If you thought that consultants were for those planning the exclusive, high society parties, you are not alone. Many people, especially those planning weddings, consider professional event planners to be as necessary and affordable as a live-in maid. However, one couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, a consultant is oftentimes seen as necessary for those with the full schedules of today's world.

Beyond overseeing the hundreds of little tasks that accompany planning an event, a consultant is also trained in the area of etiquette.

For example, a wedding consultant would probably be able to diffuse a situation involving the invitation of divorced parents or an old family dipute based on experiences and methods that have worked in the past.

Simply, a consultant will allow you to fully enjoy your party, focus on just being a good host or hostess and accept all the compliments on what a fine party you have hosted.
