CONSUMER TIPS- BRIDAL WEAR / FORMAL WEAR

Your bridal gown is undoubtedly something you have spent a large amount of time and energy selecting. All of the work is geared towards how it will appear on the wedding day and little time is spent in preparing for its storage.

Arrange for a friend or family member to take it to the professional preservation shop the day after your wedding. This process protects your gown, veil, and other accessories from the elements of time and keeps it looking fresh and new years. On top of cleaning, a good company will also do minor repairs.

You should inspect the gown before it is packed and sealed. Go every inch, checking for spots and tears. Especially check the train- it tends to get especially dirty.

Many brides like to include invitations, custom-made napkins, and other memorabilia along with the gown and veil, making somewhat of a time capsule to remember their special day.
