Signature Desserts
Catering By Windows has become well known for its award-winning pastry
and bake shop, headed by Chef Amadou Kane. Our desserts are considered
the most beautiful, unique and delicious in the area.
Some of Chef Kane's creations for parties include:
- Caramel apple tart tatin with cinnamon whipped cream and caramel sauce,
- Lemon curd tartlettes with candied violets and roses,
- Handcrafted chocolate truffles of milk, bittersweet and white Callabaut
chocolate ganache,
- Pear and hazelnut compote made with Seckel pears, golden raisins and pecans
under a molasses and brown sugar crust, accompanied by Tahitian vanilla bean ice
cream, butter cookies and chocolate dipped apricots,
- Espresso profiteroles made of French choux puffs filled with espresso
créme patisserie and glazed with bittersweet Callabaut chocolate,
- Créme Brulée, the classic cream custard with burnt sugar crown
topped with fresh raspberries,
- Chocolate bread pudding with bourbon créme Anglaise,
- French blackberry tart with paté briseé butter crustand cassis
pastry cream, accompanied by blackberry sauce,
- Sorbets and granitas including such flavors as pink Champagne, lemon tangelo,
blood orange, Campari, verbena lime, cinnamon, nectarine, kumquat, raspberry and
Cape gooseberry,
- assorted cookies, cakes, gateaux, tarts and homemade ice creams.
- Windows' Signature Marquise Cake: a decadent creation of dense Belgian
chocolate layered with rich chocolate mousse and fresh California radpberries
wrapped in a coating of dark chocolate with a glossy raspberry glaze.
